The program at Tresswell State School is based on the Australian National Curriculum and provides a well-balanced education for students from prep to year 7. A strong emphasis is placed on reading and spelling and on building a sound understanding of the English language along with the ability to use it confidently and fluently.
Because our students are isolated, sporting events play a vital part in the life of our school, with cross country, athletics and swimming carnivals usually being held in Springsure and all being eagerly anticipated. These activities allow our students to interact socially with other students.
Being a very small community, the involvement and support of our P&C is of great value and our members work extremely hard to help raise funds to provide and upgrade facilities and resources in the school.
Although Tresswell State School is a tiny school in an isolated community, the delivery of quality education is of utmost importance.
