Tresswell State School has a large and well-resourced classroom with an interactive television.
The school building consists of a classroom, offices, library, art area, kitchen and kitchenette. The well-equipped library has an interactive whiteboard and facilities to cater for Japanese lessons via teleconference and e-learning. The library, art area and kitchenette are all fitted with evaporative cooling. The classroom, offices and and kitchen are fitted with split system air conditioners.
The sports shed stores a large variety of physical education equipment which is often used in our undercover play area. The Tresswell State School students have further access to outdoor equipment with the installation of an exciting playground in 2013.
Within the school grounds there is an amenities block, a covered play area, a fully insect proofed eating area and a storage shed. There is a three bedroom principal’s residence onsite which is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with a store room for when the school is cut off by flood waters.
The school also has a tennis/basketball/netball court, cricket pitch, and a well-equipped playground which was erected in 2012 and funded by a grant from Jupiters. The students have swimming lessons in the community swimming pool which lies adjacent to our school boundary. The school grounds are 1.25 hectares.
Due to the small number of students in our school and our distance from shops, there are no canteen facilities at Tresswell State School.
